Two years ago SIMC had a great time putting on a magical Christmas Eve service just for children, complete with bales to sit on, Christmas crafts, puppets and some warm fruit punch for the grown-ups. Sadly it had to be cancelled in 2010.

The good news is we are back this year! The team are busy planning a real treat for the kids. So put 4pm Christmas Eve in your diary to come along and hear the magical story of the first Christmas all over again.

More details to follow.

Shoebox Sunday

This Sunday was Shoebox Sunday. SIMC collected 204 boxes this year to send off with Operation Christmas Child to underprivilaged children around the world.

A big thank you to all the people who donated shoeboxes and for all the hard work of those who make Shoebox Sunday happen, especially Madge Harrison and Kay Hender.

We pray that the shoeboxes will make a tiny difference this Christmastime. But, more than that, we pray that we will remember those children who need our help, support and aid the rest of the year in ways that will change their lives, not just their Christmas.
