Its the big day at St Ives Meths- the bales are in place, the puppets have their costume, the crafts are looking great and the minces pies are ready. The Nativity for children is a creative retelling of the amazing Christmas story and a great way for the whole family to start their festive celebrations sitting on bales, doing some crafts and sipping fruit punch.

So join us from 4pm today but you might want to come early as we soon fill up.

We look forward to seeing you for lots of fun later.

Advent is now underway and maybe you had your first chocolate out the calendar today! That means its not long until Christmas either and all the wonderful things that come with it.

At St Ives Methodist Church there are plenty of great things happening and we would love you to join us. We have something for all tastes; children’s activities, traditional carols and silent contemplative spaces at this time of year when the world gets busy.

Have a look at the flyer and the dates below to see if you would like to come along;

8th Dec         7.00pm        A Remembering Service

A service to remember our loved ones no longer with us at a time of year when we can miss them the most.

10th Dec         6.30pm         Advent Taize Service

A peaceful reflective service using simple chants, scripture and silence at a busy time of year.

15th Dec 6.30pm Carols at the Norris Museum

You can’t have Christmas without carols. So join us for a good sing of all your favourites in the illuminated museum garden.

21st Dec (NOT 22nd as publicised in some places)    6.00pm         Candlelit carol service

A service of traditional Christmas readings and carols by candlelight.

24th Dec         4.00pm         Christmas Nativity for Children

A short family friendly service with straw bales, puppets, crafts, mince pies and a retelling of the Christmas story. Why not come dressed as your favourite nativity character?

25th Dec         10.00am          Christmas Day service

A short service to remember Jesus was born to tell everybody that God loves them and is the reason for Christmas. If you got up early to open your presents then maybe you could bring them to show us.

If you have any questions then contacts us and we will be happy to help!
