We just wanted to let you know that it is cafe church this Sunday morning and we would love to see you if you can make it.
The service starts at 10.30am but tea, coffee, papers and pastries will be ready to go from 10am.
If you have not been before, cafe church is a service but not as you know it, we are sat round tables rather than in straight lines, you are free to take part in everything or just observe from behind the Sunday papers, we have times to be still and listen, times to chat and activities to do together.
This month we are thinking about light as Autumn nights get darker and there will even be the pumpkins on the tables as we consider what is it to be people who live in the light!
Hope to see you if you are not busy elsewhere.

11th October breathe: Control

It was great to be back together for breathe last month with the space it give us to contemplate life and faith away from pressure for just a moment in the hope we will see things a little more clearly. It would be lovely if you would like to join us this Sunday evening.
We will be reflecting on the idea of ‘control’- what controls us? what do we control? are we in control? And what does faith offer us by way of help to be controlled? The idea might seem a little complicated but through silence, simple chants, moments of ritual, video and image we will explore what this might mean for ourselves as individuals, the people we love and for the communities we are a part of.
Our time together will start at 7.30pm in the hall at the back of the church (so please use the side entrance). It will last for about an hour and there will be tea, coffee and cake at the end if you can stay for a while but no worries if you need to head of quickly.
