Nativity for children v2 (3)

We love Advent and Christmas at St Ives Methodist and we can wait to welcome you to some of the things that we are up to in the run-up to the moment when we celebrate that God told us he loves us in the baby Jesus!

We have times to remember loved ones no longer with, we have Christingles, carols by candlelight, a straw bale nativity for children and of course our family friendly service on Christmas day! Just take a look at our flyers for the dates and times.

You are welcome to them all or just one. If you need further details then please contact

19th Nov CafeWe just wanted to let you know that it is café church this Sunday. we can’t wait to welcome you with a fresh pastry and make you a cup of coffee.

The service begins at 10.30am but the drinks and food are ready from 10am so come anytime from then. As always, if you are running the late you probably won’t be last and the coffee will still be waiting!

The service will be a mix of talking and activities round tables, sing some songs (if you want to, not if you don’t), some moments of stillness and some reflections on the bible. It is also Shoebox Sunday this month so if you have put one together we will be collecting them in during the service- please don’t worry if you haven’t.

So hopefully, see you Sunday but if not have a great time whatever you up to.

If we can be of any help then let us know.

Matt and the café team.

171112 safe breathe flyer

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that it is breathe this Sunday evening and we would love to see you if you can make it.

At this time of year and being Remembrance Sunday there is plenty of talk about peacekeeping, protection, freedom and safety. So we thought a good theme to reflect on is ‘safe’-  what makes us feel safe? And can things intended for our safety actual that imprison us?

We will, of course, be contemplating this using image and video, music and silence, scripture readings and ritual.

It all begins at 7.30pm in St Ives Methodist Church hall and will last about an hour. If you have a chance to stop for a drink and a bit of cake afterward we would love to have a chat!

Take care and hopefully see you Sunday,

Matt and the breathe team
