Children’s Corner

At the rear of the main church there is an extensive children and parents area. You’ll find toys, games, a range of books, and lots of paper, colouring things and other great activities. The area is there for children and parents to use if they wish during the services. For us at SIMC, Sunday mornings are an opportunity the Church family of all ages to be together, so the area is available to use whether it’s a chaotic Café Service or a quieter communion service. We understand that children = noise, so please feel welcome, and please don’t worry.

Sofas, toys, every sunday.

At some points in a service their may be something specifically for children and young people or a preacher may invite the children who want to, to show their drawings to the congregation. Usually in the corner there will be some age-appropriate activities available for those who are interested which explore the morning’s themes.

Baby change area with a friendly polar bear.

We have a baby change area with a friendly polar bear in our disabled toilet. To get there you need to walk to the front right hand side of the church and exit into the foyer. During a service this is not a problem and the congregation and preachers are used to parents making their way in and out when babies and children need the facilities.
